Tenuta di Renieri

The Tenuta di Renieri is the Chianti-area wine estate of the Montalcino winery, located in the commune of Castelnuovo Berardenga. The property, contiguous with the Castello di Bossi vineyards, covers some 60 hectares, with 22 planted to vineyards, and specialises in Chianti Classico and Chianti Classico Riserva. Facing south, the vineyards are planted in soils that vary from yellow clays to tufa, with abundant mixture of rounded pebbles, which ensure good, natural drainage. The winery also produces IGT (Indicazione Geografica Tipica) wines, including Principe di Renieri, which matures 10 years in barrel before bottling.
